So, mom and dad got a dog. Right before they were supposed to leave for Alaska. And right before Dad ended up having heart surgery. So, now Todd and I are taking care of the dog. Todd is being really sweet about it. In between his grumbly moments. . . .
This is Malex:

Close up of Malex sleeping.

Malex, right before he paints the future.

Malex awakes.

Please put away that camera.

Look at my cuteness. Now put down that camera.

I am going to pass out from all that cuteness. I swear that is the cutest dog I’ve seen in a long, long time. If he needs a playdate you can bring him over to play with our dog Cooper.
I will tell mom and dad you said so. I would bring him over for a playdate, but he has a booboo on his foot. He cut it at the lake. (yes, I had to take the damn dog to the vet, too, in the midst of all my family medical drama, which has now fanned out to include both my mother and my 93-year-old grandfather.)
that dog is awesome!!! you tell Todd to stop his grumbling and relish in the cuteness
My absolute favorite thing about you is your big ole dog heart. You are right. Todd will not be able to resist the cuteness for long. Also the softness. He has ears of velvet. (The dog. Todd’s ears are more hobbity.)
